Stephen Ministers are members of Pines Presbyterian Church who have received 50 hours of caregiver training and are ready to meet with you ~ privately and confidentially ~ on a weekly basis to listen, care, encourage, support, and remind you of Christ’s caring presence in your life. Would you or someone you know like a Christian friend to come alongside? Whatever you are facing, you don’t have to face it alone… > visit our Stephen Ministry page
Call Rev. Bill Willis at the church to see if a Stephen Minister would be right for you. 713-467-2234.
The Pines Needles is a group that gathers monthly to work on anything that uses a needle, thread, yarn
or a crochet hook. The group serves the Pines family as well as outreach ministries of the church.
We meet monthly on the fourth Tuesday in the Prayer Room from 1-3 p.m. All are welcome to come and stitch while learning new skills or brushing up on a forgotten one or just to enjoy fellowship.
On the first Sunday of the month, our Caring Ministries arranges Home Communion for any of our members who are unable to make it to worship on Sunday mornings. Our ordained elders or pastors make a home visit upon request and provide this sacred and holy sacrament along with the reading of scripture, prayer, and a time to visit.
For more information, please contact the church office at 713-467-2234.
Prayer is foundational to who we are at Pines and besides the prayers that are offered in small groups, classes, meetings, and worship, we also have a prayer group that meets regularly to lift up the ministry and mission of Pines as well as individual concerns. The prayer group meets every Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. usually in room C-10 except on the fourth week of the month when we meet at Parkway Place (1321 Park Bayou Dr.) at 2:30.
Please check with > Bethel Strawser for exact meeting times and place.
See our > Our prayer Request Page for more info and to submit a your prayer concern online.
Every Sunday after worship, our loving and trained prayer minsters are at the front of the sanctuary to pray with anyone who needs another to come alongside to listen to them and bring their joys and concerns to the Lord in prayer. The prayer concerns that are shared are always confidential and received with love.
