Wayne Eberly - PASTOR

Wayne came to Pines in 1995 from Fresno, CA.  As preacher and teacher, he provides inspirational and spiritual direction. Working with the staff and lay leaders, he guides and gives direction to the many ministries of Pines.  His great joy in ministry comes from equipping and training people as disciples, and celebrating life together as Christian community. He and his wife Julie share a partnership in ministry, as well as raising four children.  Wayne holds degrees from California State University, Sacramento, and his Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary. Sam Jun - ASSOCIATE PASTOR AND DIRECTOR YOUTH & FAMILY MINISTRY

Sam, our newest staff member, was called to Pines in July 2003.  Born and reared in South Korea as the son of a Presbyterian pastor, Sam is a naturalized American citizen.  He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary.  In addition to his great love for youth and youth ministry, Sam is a gifted preacher and has a heart for pastoral care. He values relationships over programs and seeks to be a “soul tender” to parishioners of all ages.  Sam and his wife Annie are the proud parents of two young daughters. Contact Sam  sam@pinespc.org

Barbara McClintic - DIRECTOR OF DISCIPLESHIP & EDUCATION

Barbara has a rich and experienced background in Christian education, which she draws on as she oversees our educational program. She works closely with our Adult Education ministries, including Sunday School and weekday Bible Study Groups. She is also involved with Stephen Ministry, Cursillo, and our Prayer Ministry. Barbara received her Master of Arts degree from the Presbyterian School of Christian Education, is a certified Christian Educator, a trained spiritual director, and is currently a student at the Houston extension of Fuller Theological Seminary. Walter Laforge - DIRECTOR MUSIC MINISTRY

Walter came to Pines as our organist in 1988. He was appointed Director of Music Ministry in 2006. His career as an organist began at Calder Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas during high school. He graduated from Lamar University with a degree in Music Education. He then attended Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth studying church music. He received his Masters Degree in Music Education from McNeese State University. Walter taught vocal music at the elementary, middle and high school levels in Beaumont and Houston. He retired from HISD as Fine Arts Supervisor for Houston ISD West District in 2005. He is a member of The Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Choral Directors Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Music Fraternity.

Cathy Bankhead - DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

Cathy has a love for children that runs deep.  She has a degree in Early Childhood Education from Texas Tech University and a teaching degree in the Montessori Method of Education.  With ten years of teaching in Montessori classrooms she also found time in the summers to work as the program director for the American Youth Foundation’s Camp Miniwanca in Shelby, Michigan.  There she was responsible for developing activities for over 300 children ages 8 to 18.  Before joining Pines, she was the Children’s Director for the South West Community Bible Study class.  This position she held for six years.  Cathy draws great joy from helping children develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  She wants them to discover their gifts and find their place in the body of Christ.  Contact Cathy  cathy@pinespc.org

Harry Loose -DIRECTOR MEMBERSHIP

Keeping a watchful eye for visitors and guests, Harry greets and welcomes on Sundays, and assures that each person receives an invitation to get acquainted with Pines.  Over a period of many years as coordinator, he has developed a reputation for remembering names, and exemplifies the warm and welcoming atmosphere of Pines.  A graduate of the University of Delaware, and a lifelong Presbyterian, Harry has served the church in numerous capacities at the local and Presbytery level. Dorothy Hobbs - PRE-SCHOOL DIRECTOR

Dorothy is a graduate from Southern Methodist University with a BA in Education. She is a life-long Presbyterian who taught school for ten years before serving in Recreational Ministry and Youth Ministry. Dorothy brings her love of the Lord and children to the Pines. She believes as a church we have the privilege and the responsibility to share God’s unconditional love for all children (and parents) in the preschool environment. In Matthew 19:14 Jesus says, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.” Contact Dorthy   dorothy@pinespc.org


Cindy Houlihan - Office Manager

Cindy came to Pines in December of 1999.  As office manager she works closely with all members of the church, manages the building, as well as handles the accounts payable and receivables in the office.  She feels confident that if you have a question concerning the church, she can usually answer it.  Cindy and her husband Jim have a son, JD, who is currently attending Stephen F Austin State University . Genny Bogue - Receptionist

  Genny gets to represent Pines in a unique way. She is usually the first person to meet and greet members and visitors as they come through the front door as well as answer and direct the many phone calls and inquiries throughout each day.  The reception desk can be a challenging and exciting place to work and Genny welcomes each days’ activities with a smile and the question ‘How may I help you today?”

Sally Luker - Administrative Assistant

Sally joined our staff in January of 2007.  She is an Administrative Assistant (part time) who brings 33+ years of office experience to us from a major oil company.  Sally attended Southern Illinois University and has taken several courses from the University of Phoenix (online).    Sally and husband, Eric, have two grown, married children – Christopher and Catherine and they have four grandchildren.  Sally and Eric live in the Katy area.
