Presbyterian Women
All women are invited to participate in one of our exciting circles (small group gatherings) which meet once a month through May. Each one is unique in its own way and designed to strengthen your relationship with God as you interact through fellowship and service with other women in our church and community. A brief description of each follows..
Potpourri is an eclectic group of women from the ages of twenty-something to timeless. This year we will continue watching and discussing the Video Series "Faith Lessons" narrated by Pastor Ray Vander Laan. Our circle of friends will meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm (6:30 pm for fellowship) in various homes. We will also be meeting in a restaurant once in the fall and once in the spring. Please join us as we continue to develop friendships while sharing our fellowship, faith and fun. For more information, contact Colleen Foster (281-579-7558) or Linda Aldred (281-752-9053)
Helen Haynes Drama & Literature women’s circle examines the Christian faith and impact on the world through the medium of the Arts. Each month a member leads a discussion of a book review or play of their choice. Once a year, the group attends a performance of a local play. The circle meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 9:30 am in a member’s home. For more information, contact Mary Scott (713-467-2104) or Elinor MacMillan (713-861-9445).
Clara Gay women’s circle is a group of “mature” women who are young at heart! This year’s course is titled “Above and Beyond: Hearing God’s Call in Jonah and Ruth”. The study is taught by Rev. Wayne Eberly on the 2nd
Tuesday of the month. They gather for lunch at 12:00 in room C-3 with the Bible study following. For more information, contact June Long (713-465-8696).
Miriam circle is a lively group of (mostly) professional women so this evening circle is wonderful opportunity for those who have worked all day to come and be with friends. They use the Horizon’s Bible study, titled, “Above and Beyond: Hearing God’s Call in Jonah and Ruth”. This circle shares the hostess and facilitator duties and enjoys the different perspectives offered by different leaders. They meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month in room C-3 at 7:30 pm.
